When shipping firearms, please remove all scopes, slings, and accessories. Ammunition must be packaged separately. Package carefully, securing each piece in bubble wrap. Please include a letter indicating the service you require, a form of ID, daytime phone number and method of payment. There are fees that apply to shipping firearms, please see the next question for this information.

Handguns are not able to be shipped through the U.S. Postal Service.
Complete Handguns, barrels, barreled actions, and complete Long Guns can be sent through UPS or FedEx's Next Day Air Service for $60.00.

The Mountain Gunsmith uses a secure system through Authorize.net to ensure that all of the personal information that you share with us is protected. We do not share information with any third parties.

We do not offer refunds or exchanges, The Mountain Gunsmith ensures that every firearm sold and all firearms that have been serviced are in working order when they leave our shop.

The Mountain Gunsmith offers a lifetime warranty on any serviced firearm, should your firearm fail due to work done by The Mountain Gunsmith, we will fix it free of charge. This warranty does not apply to firearms sold by The Mountain Gunsmith, these items are sold as is.

If your firearm does not work properly upon the first time you fire it, call us to arrange a time to do a free diagnostic on your new firearm, if it is determined to be a mistake made by us, we will fix it free of charge.

If you have been convicted of a felony offense it is Federal law that you cannot own/be in possession of a firearm. It is possible to appeal to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation's denial to have your record reviewed in order for you to be able to own a firearm, but The Mountain Gunsmith cannot knowingly sell or return firearms to anyone who has a felony offense listed on their record.

Yes, you must pass a background check in order for The Mountain Gunsmith to sell you a firearm. To fix any firearms that you are presently in possession of the law does not currently require that a background check be processed.

Yes, there are minimum age requirements for owning and operating a firearm without supervision. Please refer to the NRA ILA documentation for further information on the matter.
